O Autor

Diogo Oliveira was born in 1988, Lisbon, Portugal. With a masters degree in Conservation Biologist at Évora University. He was formed in Biology at “Instituto Superior de Agronomia”. He spent most of his childhood traveling through Portugal using the paths that were trodden by wild animals to the most beautiful places, some of these places completely unknown to the public.

He acquired its first semi-pro camera only in 2006 and since then he’s been taking photographs of wild animals, getting better and better to achieve the best results. His passion for animals brought him to photography, and all the hours spent watching nature and animal documentaries gave him some experience and knowledge.

He participated in numerous activities of “Ciência Viva no Verão” since 2002, in biology and geology. He's helping gathering information of bats for the Portugal Bat Atlas. Currently working with "Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian", Évora University and "Fundação Luis de Molina" in the project "One Month, One Bird" taking place on the gardens of "Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian".
